Staff time valued at AED 3 million freed for delivery

Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority Improvements Framework On Sharjah’s five-year roads and transport framework, a one-hour assessment identified unnecessary administration that was absorbing the department’s time. I introduced changes that freed people to focus on project delivery. I valued the staff time released at AED 3 million, using the combined time avoided across the department and average salary rates at the time. The team put that time into delivering project work and experienced the benefit in getting work out more quickly. Organisation: Halcrow / Halcrow, a CH2M company

The right project information, within three clicks

CH2M MENA and India Regional Quality Programme I rebuilt an old, inactive quality platform so people could reach the information they needed in no more than three clicks. I also developed audit and quality-management tools tailored to the Middle East, North Africa and India region. To help projects start on track, I sat with each project manager and worked through an interactive guide. Direct links took them to what they needed, in the order they needed it. The changes increased engagement and compliance, making the quality system easier to use and giving project managers practical support from the start. A quality system people understood and took ownership of

MAC 10 (Managing Area Contract, Area 10) National Highways At MAC 10, I simplified the quality-management platform, eliminating document mismanagement and making the system easier to understand and use. I introduced clear process ownership and encouraged owners to actively develop their processes and forms. This accelerated continual improvement, and the approach spread to other MAC areas we managed. The work became the foundation of my 3-Pillar Framework, including the principle of leading with intent through clear process ownership. More leads processed, with clearer priorities for the team

Training Delivery Workflow and Lead-Pipeline Transformation While redesigning a training provider’s delivery workflow, I found enquiries getting stuck. I created new ways to turn enquiries into actionable leads and removed the barriers preventing existing leads from progressing. The new workflow automatically handled more leads for straightforward, lower-priced, one-day courses. It also helped the team assess the remaining enquiries, identify suitable opportunities and flag those outside the business’s target market. The business could process more routine leads automatically and give clearer attention to the opportunities that needed individual assessment. Recorded Open leads rose from approximately 30 in Q1 to 225 in Q2 2025—an increase of approximately 650%. The Q2 figure was also approximately 159% above Q4 2024, when Open leads were about 87. • Less time finding information. More input from site.

Abu Dhabi STEP Pumping Station (PS-01) I simplified document filing and referencing on the STEP pumping station project so people could find what they needed more quickly. I also increased engagement with quality-control engineers on site, gathering their insight into how the work could run more efficiently and implementing the solutions. The improvements combined quicker access to information with practical changes informed by the people closest to the work. Organisation: Halcrow / Halcrow, a CH2M company

Audits that influenced how businesses engaged with the project

High Speed 2 (HS2) At the start of HS2, I audited participating businesses to assess whether their plans were documented and being put into practice. With no existing quality-management audit template available, I drew on my experience to give the audits practical weight and influence. They shaped how the businesses I worked with engaged in the project, bringing meaningful quality oversight to the start of their involvement. Organisation: CH2M Role: Lead Auditor
